Replying to a question by L Hanumanthaiah, Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that till July 15, a total of 45,432 cases of mucormycosis were reported across the country and out of them, 21,085 patients were under treatment and 4,252 patients had died.
