The Economic Survey emphasised the measures taken by the union government towards building affordable and accessible covid infrastructure. The survey reported that a three-tier arrangement of dedicated COVID-19 health facilities was implemented to reduce the risk of COVID-19; 4,135 PSA plants are being established in the country to enhance oxygen generation capacity by 4,852 mt and more than four lakh oxygen cylinders are supplied to States/UTs/ central government hospitals to ensure adequate supply of medical oxygen for patient care.
