Currently, the state has around 4,750 medical seats in 29 government colleges. The NMC nod has come after the dean of the new college has agreed to fulfil all the deficiencies reported in a notice after their inspection. The college was recently issued a non-compliance notice by the NMC for not having enough staff on board.
