Health rights activist C Anand Raj said that as many as 160 qualified dialysis technicians were recruited on a year’s contract in the state in December 2021 through MRB. However, the government did not extend their contract or recruit for permanent positions. Hence, at government medical colleges, including GRH in Madurai, their services were suspended.
