The government firmly resisted lowering the NEET-PG qualifying percentile in the Delhi High Court in July of last year, but it has since cut the qualifying percentile to zero. According to the judgment's language, its defence was that "minimum qualifying percentile for admission is required to be maintained to ensure minimum standard of education and general standards for admission to professional courses."
