The report, unveiled on Friday at the ongoing Indian Cancer Congress (ICC) at BKC, highlighted the fact that over 80 per cent of people with solid tumours will need surgery, but only 25 per cent of those living in LMICs are likely to receive it. Many also end up financially bankrupt after the surgery.
