Nearly 6 per cent of patients who had recovered from COVID-19 between March 2020 and March 2022 had died by July 2023, says a study by Tamil Nadu's health department. The breakup showed nearly 20 per cent fatalities in the 61-80 age group and below 1 per cent among those 40 and younger.
