The state government has sought the opinion of the newly formed task force on whether to invest in COVID vaccine doses, considering the surge in coronavirus cases driven by the new variant JN.1. Currently, the state is sitting on an unused inventory of 16,000 doses of intranasal vaccine iNCOVACC that was procured in April after a surge in cases was reported.
