According to the latest seat matrix released, the deemed universities that have refused to share any seat for the government quota include Sri Siddhartha Medical College, the chairperson of whose governing council is home minister G Parameshwara; Shri BM Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, a constituent college of BLDE deemed-to-be university, whose chancellor is MB Patil, minister of large and medium industries; and Devaraj Urs medical college, run by Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust (SDUET), which was earlier headed by late former minister RL Jalappa.
